footstool needs recovering

Recover and repair an old footstool that had seen the attention of too many children.

Solution

repair the footstool and make a scatter from the remnant

We remove the old cover and use it to make a pattern for the new fabric. An underlayer of FR calico is added to make the furniture comply with British Standards regulations. The footstool is reupholstered in a new fabric chosen by the client to match their curtains. After which, the remaining fabric is used to make a matching scatter cushion.
